Policies & Enrollment Terms

At Creative Sonrisas Academy, we believe in creating a safe, joyful, and consistent bilingual learning environment. To ensure clarity and fairness for all families, please review the following policies before enrolling your child. These guidelines help us provide the best possible experience for every student.

Missed or Cancelled Classes

  • Memberships are a flat rate per month, due in full on the 5th of each month your child is enrolled.
  • There are no single-group rates or adjustments for partial enrollment.
  • To unenroll your child, please notify Creative Sonrisas Academy in writing (via email) at least 10 days before the 1st day of the next month.
  • If a session is cancelled due to staff illness or emergencies, we will either schedule a make-up class or credit your next month’s membership.
  • If a session is cancelled due to weather (snow, smoke, etc.), we will offer a make-up day with a similarly aged group. Attendance on a make-up day must be confirmed.
  • If a child misses a class due to illness, vacation, or personal reasons, parents may request a make-up class within one month of the missed session.
  • There are no make-up days or credits for school holidays.
  • Membership fees cannot be adjusted for personal schedules or circumstances beyond our control. However, we always honor make-up days when possible.
  • Please note that there are no refunds for missed or cancelled sessions.
  • Past-Due Payments Policy: Families with outstanding payments from a previous month must pay both the past-due balance and the current month’s fee by the 1st of the month for their child to continue attending the program. Children may not join or continue in the new month until all outstanding payments are received.
  • Communication is key — if you are experiencing any issues with payments, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work together on a solution.

Enrollment & Pick-Up

  • An enrollment form is required for all students participating in this program.
  • Only persons authorized by the parent or guardian may pick up a child from Creative Sonrisas Academy. Please notify us in writing if anyone other than those listed on your form will pick up your child.

Health & Illness

  • Students with a fever or contagious illness may not participate until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without medication and symptoms have resolved.
  • Please do not bring children who are unwell or showing signs of illness.
  • Notify us immediately if your child has been exposed to a contagious illness (such as flu, chickenpox, etc.) so we can take appropriate precautions for the safety of all children and staff.

Behavior & Respect

  • All students must follow program agreements and treat teachers, classmates, supplies, and the environment with kindness and respect.
  • Creative Sonrisas Academy is a safe and nurturing space for all.

Readiness & Independence

  • While we always provide gentle guidance, we encourage self-reliance and personal responsibility in all areas.
  • All children must be fully potty-trained and possess basic independence in daily tasks such as using the bathroom, eating, and dressing.
  • Participants should demonstrate skills in sharing, listening, following directions, and understanding routines.

Agreement in registration form

By completing the enrollment form and registering their child, parents and guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Creative Sonrisas Academy policies stated above.
